MySpace and Facebook

I signed up with Facebook and became one of my daughter's many friends. I felt as though I was intruding on their space but it was fun to see how much fun my daughter was having and to share in her photographs. I found a blog from an Australian school librarian who said that MySpace is blocked in all school libraries. I don't think I would use MySpace or Facebook professionally but it is good to see what the younger generations are up to and how they communicate. I also think it's important for libraries to connect with young people in one way or another.

Had a look at the Google Doc site. The link to Learn More didn't work so I don't know what I am missing out on. I must admit I tend to agree with The Fev's comments about Google Docs.

I have spent a bit of time looking up titles on Google Book Search. I think I'll find this site very useful, particularly finding out of print titles.

Slowly catching up with the Learning 2.0 program. I did have fun locating my place of work and home on Google Earth. It was good to see both from the satellite. I don't think I'd used Google maps very much at work.
